All commodities are trading at historic highs, which makes it a doubtful time to be buying. When a commodity is at a top price, there’s not much more room to grow, and rapid decline can soon follow. The only thing good about silver purchase and hold is that there is no tax due until final sale, and then only if it has increased in value. Not a good investment at this time, IMHO.
Never buy in a hot market. Bubbles pop quickly and you will end up with over priced goods. Look at internet stock bubble, the real estate bubble and the past gold bubble. What you should be markets that are hurting. You will make more money buying into the next bubble that’s coming along. When that market gets hot, you sell and then move to the next bubble.
When it comes to investing no one knows, what is going to happen. But if you feel that you should get into investing in coins you should look into American Eagles. Yea, metals been having their run for the past 5yrs. But maybe it can still have a few more years to run..
Well you can do some research with financial magazines or web sites like http://www.kitco.com
