Buying silver a worthwhile decision?

I have a substantial collection of silver bullion and old coins from over the years. Is it a worthy investment? I’ve noticed the price of silver has jumped quite a bit the last few years. I feel with the economy worsening and with the prediction it will get far worse over the next few years it wouldn’t be a bad idea to buy up some more while it’s still around.
It’s not a bad investment, coins especially. You may not see as high returns as you would investing it other ways, but it’s a pretty safe investment. I’ve rarely had any coin depreciate, if ever, of any substantial amount. Plus, I’ve had many triple in price in a very short time and remain that way. Diversification is the key, don’t put all your eggs in one basket, as they say.
Silver is a secure investment. It is always worth something.
